We were all awake at 6:30 am for the spectacular sunrise over Monument Valley. We all enjoyed the cool morning air knowing that before long it will be scorching hot. Annie and I have to start making our way north to Salt Lake City for her stamping convention. We plan to visit some of the National Parks on our way.
After driving up a winding gravel road and across the top of a huge mesa, we stopped at Natural Bridges Natural Monument. Here, we drove a nine-mile scenic loop along White Canyon. From several vista points we were able to enjoy huge rock bridges spanning the dry riverbed. Some were over 200 feet high and 200 feet wide. Before long, we were on the road again. We stopped for a hour or so at an interesting Anasazi museum in Blanding, Utah. Exhausted from getting up so early this morning, we checked in for the night in Moab, Utah.
