Day 3 - Monday, July 27 - Vegas to Zion

Today we spent a few hours at the Fashion Show Mall. We had lunch with the D'Amicos and then the girls went shopping. From Vegas, we drove north toward Zion National Park. This is a beautiful drive with red and gray mountains lining the route. The drive through the VIrgin River Gorge was especially beautiful, with cliffs towering above both sides of the highway.

We took a quick sightseeing stop in St. George to see the Mormon temple and the quaint downtown area.From here, we drove up to the entrance to Zion Park and got a hotel for the night, where we had a delicious dinner.
