Today we continued on our trek to Salt Lake City.
Right up the road from Moab, we stopped for a few hours at Arches National Monument. This place had some pretty dramatic landscapes. There were some huge rock arches scattered throughout the park. Just in case you didn't know the difference between a rock arch and a rock bridge is a bridge is formed by water, an arch is formed by other means, such as wind, erosion, etc. By now, all of these beautiful desert parks are starting to look the same, so we decided to skip the next few natural parks and drive up to Price, Utah. Here we enjoyed their fantastic dinosaur museum. Very close to their town is a quarry loaded with dinosaur fossils. We enjoyed the museum so much, that we stayed until closing time. After a nice dinner in Helper, Utah, we cruised through the mountains and found a hotel in a suburb of Salt Lake City.
